About time I updated my bio, it’s been 4 years since the last one. Curt short-form curation at the corner of Street-Art, Politics, Photography, Old Hollywood and my random obsessions du jour.
I run, skydive and obsess over collecting Nike Fuel Points. I know multinationals are evil. Slowly but surely I'm Plodding along in New York City.
Sorry If I don’t follow back there’s only so many blogs I can follow without my dash choking.
Openings: Audrey Kawasaki – “Midnight Reverie” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery
Just this Saturday night, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) returned to New York City to share a new exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. This fresh body of work entitled Midnight Reverie features new direction for the LA-based artist that has entranced fans of her innocently seductive paintings. Utilizing dark black grounds contrasted with vibrant hues, Audrey’s subject seem to pop more than ever. Don’t worry, new doesn’t mean the old goes away as this alteration in style still keeps her signature eyes at the center of attention. Each piece has a unique gaze that captures the audience in an emotional trance. Fantasy, mystery, innocence, euphoria and curiosity are few of the feelings you’ll go through as this series takes you through Audrey’s nocturnal dream world.
