Jorge Rodriguez Gerada - Manama, Bahrain (New)
Sadly Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada, a talented artist, has chosen to thumb his nose at the Democracy Movement in Bahrain. Rodriguez-Gerada is partaking in an art festival organized by the Bahraini Capitalist Dictatorship, a ruthless regime bent on quashing ‘dissident voices’.
Apparently some capitalist dictatorships are better than others.

Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada recently stopped by Manama for Alwan,  a festival introducing Bahrain’s up and coming generation of conceptual artists.
The Cuban American contemporary artist painted this monumental charcoal piece depicting a traditional Bahraini fisherman, one of a few hundred that are left.If you ever stop by Manama, this one can be seen in Adleya’s Block 338.
